KHADI! most of you including me have confused khadi as a fabric made of cotton, well again KNOCK KNOCK! THE JOKE IS ON US! A piece of cloth which revolutionized the freedom of a country, isn't it amazing to read about something so homegrown?


WHY IS KHADI ONE OF THE MOST SUSTAINABLE FABRIC TO CONSIDER AND WHAT MAKES IT SO SPECIAL!

India, has always been rich in diversity a boon that makes the country so vivid and truly enriched. We are actually the world of our own, handcrafts is something that is the backbone of this country and truly the most important aspect of our lives, the amount of creativity our artisans have is truly unparallel and unmatched in the world skill, we are the best! and I can say that all loud.

Khadi defined as a dispersed, democratic and decentralised textile production system with zero or low chemical and carbon footprints has the potential to become a force for change. Not just in India but globally!


But since changing times have indeed changed the time, the handloom and craftsmen industry has had the major economic growth in the country but the idea of technology has degraded the amount of skill our artisans had. 

Government organizations like The Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) have been giving the textile a serious push since 2018, showcasing the cloth internationally and signing memorandums with institutions like NIFT for better design development and training.

Indian Designers such as Ritu Kumar, Sabyasachi Mukherji, Rahul Mishra, Raghavendra Rathore and many more who have worked on the fabric using the magnanimous Indian craftsmanship in luxury and style, The end result has been commendable! 


Can you believe this luxurious ensemble made of Khadi! We are truly in heaven.

And with this, time has come perhaps for all of us to own at least one khadi item to support our country’s artisans, encourage visionary designers and make a contribution towards global warming. We are the real and the simple one! Nothing can ever beat the pulchritudinousness of our handmade and naturals!
